Isabel Barton of Hudson, NY, received a grant from the Martha Boschen Porter Fund to produce and direct her first narrative film, "Lucky." The film explores the meaning of home and community when a young girl moves to Hudson and is forced to start a new life. Barton’s vision for this film was to integrate a fictional story with real life in Hudson. She does so with the help of Hudson High School student Antonia Bellamy-Talbot, who plays the lead actress and assisted with the screenwriting.
